Some cruises are good, but some are very bad.
I have been on a very bad cruise. At breakfast there was sloppy eggs and some very bad sausages, they looked plastic.
But the cheeses weren’t bad.
At dinner it wasn’t that bad, but we had pizza, pizza, pizza, pizza.
There was nothing to drink but water.
At breakfast there was very sweet juice drinks.
The pool was salt water and it stang my eyes.
The kids club was so, so bad. They did nothing for people my age. They had an X box and Wii, that was the only think I liked but we could only use it for half an hour at certain times.
I want to go on a Norwegian cruise again, but not on the bad one.
We visited some countries, Elephanta caves were good, but hot. Mostly we just saw dock yards.
Even a bad holiday is still an adventure. 🙂
Yes it is Blokeschool! It was good to see a little bit of India
Oh dear, that does sound miserable! You write so well – I can really tell how fed up you were on that cruise from the way you describe it!
My son is 5 and wants to know whether you have space to run around on the ship, and whether there are any other kids on board?
The caves look interesting. How big were those statues, and how old?
1,500 years old Ruthy. You’re not allowed to run on the ship and the kids club was too small to run around. There were only 2 other kids that went, a 3 year old girl and 5 year old girl. On our other cruises there was lots of space and lots more fun things to do. We got off the ship in Singapore, now we are in Cambodia.
Hello there Dylan and Ollie, Is it interesting to learn from your post that not all cruises work out well. Some people have great experiences while others are like you and don’t enjoy themselves. I had some friends visit recently and they had been on a cruise from Venice around the Mediterranean and they didn’t like it much either. The over consumption of food by passengers was an issue for them and people’s behaviour at times was poor. I think it was an American cruise line. So I think I’ll just stay home by the beach at Bermagui!! The water temperature is beautiful as is all the locally grown produce and fresh fish! I teach Art History in the U3A (University of the Third Age) and attend other courses such as bird watching, Jane Austen, Film Club, Book Chat. I also belong to a brilliant choir and a drama class. A folk festival was held recently in a nearby village and it was fabulous. I sang in the choir and performed with some of the artists. Wonderful! So as you can see I keep very busy here. As well I have had 3 lots of visitors staying in a row and another lot arrive today for 3 days, the Beaver family of 4! Howie will be home at the end of the month and I will drive up to get him. I was going to see you on the 17th March in Sydney but as you have now left the cruise I won’t go up! Must go , much love Granny xxxxxx Date: Thu, 5 Mar 2015 06:46:06 +0000 To: suzsherwood@hotmail.com
Hi Granny, Norwegian are American, they were really, really good. The bad one is Italian. But at least we saw a bit of India. We are going back soon, I love India. Thailand is nice too, we are in Bangkok now and there is great food here.
